Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding (born Elena Jane Goulding on 30th December, 1986 Hereford, England) is an English artist and singer. Ellie Goulding's infectious electronic sound rapidly pushed her into the top of the charts when she drew the attention of the public in 2010. She was able to achieve this feat with her songs "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses". Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has been at the top of the movement, just like Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap, of mainstream contemporary music, and independent, artistic pop.
