Ariel started her acting career young playing a Cool Whip commercial at age six. She got her first television role at age 7 appearing on an episode of the CBS sitcom Listen Up!. Then she followed it up with roles in shows like Monk Bones and ER. Gretchen was her character in the year 2007 on Disney Original Channel's animated show Phineas and Ferb. Her breakout performance was in the live-action television series Modern Family two years later. Ariel, along with others from Modern Family's Modern Family cast have won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble on a Comedy Series four times.
