Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. She is English, and her father is Nigerian. She grew up in a south London council estate and attended The Brit School at age fourteen. She earned her BA in acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While at the academy, she appeared in a number of stage productions, including the King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her career as an actress in the movie Storm Damage. In the years since, Madekwe has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Her debut film as a performer was that of the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. In the following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, the actress was offered Bambi as the main character in ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe appeared in the comedy How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). Her credits in the theatre include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes at The CW, and was then ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe starred as a regular character on the ABC drama series Revenge during two seasons. In May 2013 that she'd be leaving the series following one guest appearance on the very first season of the third. In the TV series Salem, she played Tituba between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe and her boyfriend of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. They worked together in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He was also a part of the cast with Madekwe in Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into a big family. She was born to Roy and Patty Leggat. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty as well as her four brothers, Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletic, played baseball in summers and played hockey during winter. Ashley couldn't walk, however she could dance. In the end, as she grew older She discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley developed a passion for dancing when she began the Baby Ballet. Ashley competed in tap, jazz and ballet at the top divisions. She also won top soloists awards in all important dance competitions including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, among others.
