Dua Lipa is an English artist and singer was born in London, on the 22nd of August 1995. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records after a few years of working and put out a self-titled album in 2017. It peaked at third place at the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles including Be The One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. number-one track New Rules which peaked at 6th within the United States. Lipa was honored with the Brit Award in 2018 as a British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum in a number of nations. Dua Lipa was born at the age of 18 in London by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). By way of her maternal grandmother Dua Lipa, she is Bosnian. Her ancestors can also be identified back to Peja, the Kosovo town of Peja. Her grandfathers were historians as well. Gjin along with Rina are her siblings. Lipa was influenced musically by her father who was the guitar player and lead singer of Oda, the Kosovan rock band Oda. At home her father continued to play music including his original compositions as well as songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was five years old. In the year she turned nine, Lipa began singing at the Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa recorded If I Ain't Gotta You By Alicia Keys and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera on YouTube. Lipa has signed her first recording contract in 2014 through Warner Bros. Records. In August of 2015 her first single New Love came out.
